I hope everyone is doing okay.
I do too much for others outside my official role. I always extend a hand to assist others and help when they ask and get them ahead. I ask myself, “Do I have a tattoo on my forehead that asks to come to me I will help you?” I do help and I like my work, but there’s some that take advantage and really do believe it’s a work culture situation. Then when I stop helping I’m the mean one. Then they won’t talk to me after.
It gets old after a while. I’ll help with one thing and they automatically take it as “give me more.” I don’t know how? I don’t tell them to call if they need anything else.
If it’s a project assigned to me I do have to assist each time. Am I missing something, it’s on me I guess I’m too nice. All the Best!
