You cause more work than necessary – 2/18/26

I hope everyone is doing okay.

She’s mad because I’m winning. Director 1 has been here with this department since 2019 and has not been able to get it. She’s attempted to try and make me lose it in front of her boss MD “LAU.” I have a feeling it’s her who wants to make me look bad I just know…it’s my intuition talking right now. Doesn’t she like winning as a team?

I worked so hard for them, taken on more work of filling in as her business coordinator when her person quit. I do research, and program work, the accounts and finances are working how they should be and this lady wants to destroy it!? I don’t get it. I had a morning finance meeting with her. Two of the three projects are running smooth, found funding for the third, and took action to cover the deficit. Now I’m waiting for this Director 1 to answer an important question for the sponsor which I reminded her for the second time. Then a researcher told MD “LAU” that Director 1 isn’t answering questions or takes weeks to respond for contracts. I volunteered to assist and have been filling in too. Also, no one communicated with MD “P” who is handling the contracts that I would take some of the funds to fulfill the needs of another project and MD “LAU” wanted answers and I responded. Director 1 was quiet and it’s her job to do, not mine. After our morning finance meeting Director 1 told me she would notify MD “P” of the contract questions and taking funds from her project to cover the deficit of the other. Director 1 responded to my email and answered the sponsor’s question.

The second finance review happened in the afternoon. The in-fighting began. I went through the numbers and action items which MD “LAU” was happy with. Apparently we don’t have enough funding to cover the contract amounts. There was confusion about the contract funding, but you cannot say that because the 2 contracts are not even fully executed? MD “LAU” and Director 1 were so confused that they were too stubborn to stop and listen, they can’t understand because they don’t know, and don’t want to stop and learn the details. I have taken the time to explain all the details to Director 1 and tells me that she understands when I explain it to her, but then she can’t to anyone else. Huh? How does that happen? She gets off our call to take another call, but before says that the first payments are not until October 2026. Why didn’t she say it before we got into a 20-minute argument? We resolved our contract issues.

At 7pm Director 2 calls me to my personal cell phone to tell me her co-worker Director 1 told MD “LAU” that we were not given a full budget that we requested. What?! Oh my gosh! We were, what is she talking about? She lied! We have proof whatever MD “LAU” needs we will provide it to assist her and show here we do have funding. Director 1 truly doesn’t understand her work, projects, funding, and finances. She freaked out and made an attempt to deflect her ignorance. It backfired. I’m not sure what it will take, but we have done everything we can to support her and the only thing she tries to do is throw us all under the bus. Why, we’re here to help. All the Best!
