Face to face questions ignored- 12/17/25

I hope everyone is doing okay.

My opinion, they don’t like how I operate, but there is no other choice. I’m the only one here and the only doing the work. They have no other choice but to follow my instruction. I’m doing the right thing and they feel as if I’m going to do away with whatever they have going on. They are spoiled thinking they have so much budget and I’m assisting the sponsor to bring situations under control and be transparent. For so long the sponsor hasn’t been able to get straight answers from this department at all. That’s why I was hired and we will answer.

The Sr. Manager is feeling the heat now. The tables have turned. I asked, “What were your thoughts about these budgets? Why were they so off?” Question after question was ignored as we were on the team’s call face to face. I let it go because I have my cards in my back pocket in case I need them, my evidence, and I am sure the reason why she’s ignoring my questions as well by redirecting my topic. I try to pick and choose my battles and which ones to hold for other occasions. I keep notes, I track, and I try to master my work each day. The Sr. Manager tried to talk down to us today and I shut her down with facts. I made my point without blame. I have shared all the information and what we were discussing was nothing new. If you had questions I’m always readily available. The facts have been provided for 2.5 months already. There is no reason to talk down to anyone when the problem lies with you and your team. There is no reason to point the finger elsewhere. I had enough. I’m burnt out and I had enough of the complaining and no accountability on their part. If they weren’t clear or sure they should’ve asked.

I have been through the wringer and survived and what has she done, nothing but complained. I could only see half their face on the teams call and I wonder what the issue is with this team. This is their definition of team work. All the Best!

  1. There must be reframing of definition for this teamwork. Hugs, Edith and all the best. Nevertheless, enjoy your weekend!
