I hope everyone is doing okay. Just when I think I’m done and slowing down with having issues on the same project it’s really not slowing down. It just seemed too easy. The central office contacted me that there is an invoice pending to be paid on an old account that is closed! What! Huh?🤔 How? Well the account is from August 2023. Took me almost half day to sort it all out today. Our accounts payable unposted the invoice, the purchasing office allowed to reverse the goods received lines and change the account. To make matters worse there were additional 4 contract invoices that were posted to this project that were unrelated to the project and paid. We will definitely fail our audit if this already happened and I cannot find them. The medical doctor was not happy, but nothing else we can do, we owe these invoices. The payments are taking too long to get processed and approved from one year ago. These payments are to staff for additional work already completed.

My day was spent reviewing and double-checking invoices from two years ago and that things are moving along when it shouldn’t be the case now. Time and day wasted, but avoided a potential disaster for the future. SMH! 🤦‍♀️ All the Best!
