Interview #1 – time to shine – 11/19/24

I hope everyone is doing okay. I have had plenty of interviews overall in the professional arena. I have been working since I was 16 years old non-stop and also my first interview. Today I had an interview and of the 20 interviews including today I’ve not felt comfortable and had such a great conversation, agreed on topics, structure, and such support! The feeling was so funny.

I’ve had a lot more interviews that are not included in this number, 20. All others don’t count because I didn’t get the job, were follow up interviews and did get a job offer. I think I would double it to a total estimate of a whopping 40 total interviews! This interview went smooth, this person was very well prepared and the type of personality, vibrant, and lively, very funny too. It was a miracle how I applied.

God has always provided for me and out of desperation we are forced to take action. Someone reached out to me on LinkedIn from the organization’s talent acquisition department to ask if I was interested in any of their positions. Even though at the time I wasn’t looking I hadn’t taken action looking at the email in details, I only skimmed to it and thought to come back to it later. I was sent two positions she thought I could potentially be a good fit for weeks ago and I thought it wouldn’t hurt to look on 11/13/24. After reviewing both positions I didn’t feel I was a good fit and went directly to their website and took a look and applied to one position as it would be a promotion. A day later I received an email for an interview! This doesn’t happen often. God works miracles and I’m grateful.

I sold my skillset and so did the interviewer on selling his skillset and the organization. My interview was at 11am and by 4:48pm I received a new email I made the 2nd round of interviews. All the Best!
