I hope everyone is doing okay. Another busy month ahead for June 2026. I’m confronting tasks head-on. These tasks have many layers, meetings, and a lot of communication. I’m having to go through the budgets and will have to reduce from 18% over budget down to about 4-5% over 18 different projects. It’s a lot to take on because MD’s don’t want their project budgets reduced. Ultimately I’m going to have to make tough decisions and not going to make any friends.
The head of the department acknowledged 👍 my work and will have to focus on answering any questions leaving no room for doubt. The head of the department was pleased 😌 and it was awkward 😳 because this is the first time we had engaged in some sort of conversation. I act like I knew him from years ago. At lease I have one co-worker that I can get trustful input.
It’s sad that few are willing to step up and deal with budget issues. It is not something that any one of us can it’s up to the MD’s. Two women are still sinking this ship and everyone in a leadership position is quiet about it and may even be covering up for the person that should be let go, but I’ll leave it there because I’m not sure. I don’t want to say anything and then loose my job. 😬 All the Best!
