Another problem – 3/12/26

Hope everyone is doing okay. Oh my gosh! It’s raining and thundering when it comes to the work tasks here for me. The harder I work, the more work I get. It never ends. I’m leaving for the day and MD β€œLAU” walks in to tell me about another problem she’s got. I’m already trying to hold it together as it is. It’s something MD β€œLAU” couldn’t control, but now it becomes my problem. I’m the problem solver whether the project is assigned to me or not.

MD β€œLAU” is very hands-off and she does expect a lot from her top performers which is one side of her team and not much from the other half which includes Director 1 who of course are okay because they are good with being low performers. Their performance is accepted. I have become an overworked staff not on her team and expected to bail out the low performers along with Director 1.

I have to find $100K in cost savings from other projects to cover the future deficit. I have to make a choice to either stay to be overworked or embrace a new chapter. I can’t guarantee that I can solve the problem, and if I can’t I’ll most likely be talked down to by her. She knows I’m going to do everything I can and make it happen. All the Best!

I’m sorry you’re carrying such a heavy load. It sounds like you’re trusted because you’re capable, but that doesn’t make it fair to keep placing more and more on your shoulders. There comes a point where being dependable turns into being overwhelmed.

I’ll be praying that God gives you wisdom as you decide whether to stay or embrace a new chapter.
