I hope everyone is doing okay. I have been back to work only a couple days and my days are filled with plenty to do, nothing has changed on this topic. It’s still busy. The vacation I took for one week and a few days really shook these people. There was no movement and most were waiting for my return. Fifty percent of this department rests on my shoulders. Most had to wait for me to come back and get back to work.

The payroll needed adjustments, find funding sources for the new staff. Budgets need to be updated. I am getting attention, collaboration, and answering a lot of questions. People are listening, but it’s only because they need a lot from me. Instead of them researching and trying to put decipher things on their own they wait for me to return and so I can give them the answers. They are unsure of the steps to take with their work and I have to check it. These people have one job to do and still need hand-holding in order to finish one task. This is just more work for me and should not have to spend time helping them feel better if they were hired to do a specific job because they supposedly come with experience. Where’s the experience? I’m starting to wonder about some… All the Best!
