I hope everyone is doing okay.

It doesn’t fail. This department is really screwed up. What’s wrong with these people? I don’t see or hear of any common sense from the administrative team. Nothing surprises me any longer, but definitely angered my boss. I think he finally sees what I have been trying to explain to him for so many months. Now it affects him directly and he doesn’t like it. He is ready to “kick the bucket” I was a bit surprised.

The girl that I replaced and pretty much screwed all these budgets, didn’t keep track, and probably lack of training and knowledge has an interview with the team to return. My boss was talking in a high pitch and told me how horrible she was, had an attitude, and didn’t want to do anything less take responsibility. I was asked to join the team to assist with the interview to which I declined. Apparently the Sr. Manager and this girl are best friends from what I hear. Oh! Okay… This girl left a mess, I cleaned it all up that left us with a deficit in the millions and this team knowing the information they still are giving the same person a chance to come back? The department is still paying the cost of expenses not being posted correctly and we owe external suppliers money because she never kept up with it all. Maybe it was too much for her? From what I was told by others she took time off and didn’t report it or no one knew she was gone. She did not want to work as a team and was ugly to my boss and would shut him down to his face, declined my boss’s meetings and didn’t want training. The Sr. Manager also declined my boss’s meetings so I am leaning toward both really being friends.

This candidate and former employee was a finalist! What, when, and why would they want to bring her back? Mind-blowing to me. My boss had a meltdown. Even considering re-hiring someone who basically destroyed this department is like a slap in the face to me. How can you re-hire someone who brought this department to its knees? She caused chaos and so much in-fighting. Wow! The audacity of these people even asking me to assist with this interview. This is stupidity at its best. All the Best!
