I hope everyone is doing okay. It seems gossip rules around here and I try to stay far from it. Today “PEI” as I call her attended a conference to train on research topics. “PEI’s” colleague and a great co-worker to me resigned her position last month. She resigned because both “PEI” and “DD” the supervisor dumped on her and she didn’t put up with it and left our department. There has been a vacant position with their group for weeks now. “PEI” announced the vacancy to some of our organization colleagues who attended the conference.

“PEI” comes to my office to tell me she attended a conference and as she was announcing the vacancy a staff person from an outside department from our organization was also at the same conference. He made a comment to “PEI” as follows, “I would never recommend anyone to apply to your department and if I were you I’d start looking for another job. That whole department should be restructured.” 😂 I laughed so hard and she didn’t look happy 😆. I told her I guess she better start looking. I told her I guess the reputation of this department follows it. She better get to work. 😆 All the Best!
