I hope everyone is doing okay. “What you put out you will get back.” I’m trying to ignore the situation, but it is backfiring on me. The cat lady continues to be mean and continues to affect my friend and I. She feels safe and comfortable criticizing the rest of us. She defends herself even if nothing is going on, has a very close-minded attitude. She ignores anyone else whether you are struggling or don’t have anything to do, there is no care in the world to her, but when she really does make an error she cries and creates drama to get you to help.

I refuse to change and become like her, I’m just ignoring her now. She is just bitter and refuses now to support anyone whether good or bad situations, not a team player at all. I stopped helping and ignore here. She will call you out and won’t stay in her lane, but won’t look at herself and fix her flaws. She won’t try to work or understand, but will criticize my hard work and energy and give me advice. She’s not personable or knowledgeable, but why criticize me about my skillset? It hasn’t been easy and she doesn’t walk in my shoes. She can’t take what I have, it’s for her to put effort into it.

I was given more work. The supervisor told me today that I would have to take over all the payroll for a total of about 200 researchers and non-researchers, when the payroll was split between myself and the cat lady before. Now, the work she used to do is now being transferred to me. So now I have to do all payroll, create a standard operating procedure manual, and create and update the list of all researchers and non-researchers with category, pay, and levels of support, and lastly a program report which was not going to be handled by me since I’m only the budget and finance person. I don’t know and wasn’t given guidance on the program, only handed to me.

I will have to pray and let it simmer to make a decision of whether I will compromise or quit. This is crazy stuff happening now. I don’t see it getting better. Wooo! All the Best!
