The return to the office – 8/14/24

I hope everyone is doing okay. I physically returned back to the office today. Good thing I missed drama. I laughed about it, but I shouldn’t because if the shoe was in the other foot, it wouldn’t be funny. This mercury retrograde is surely potent than the last. A co-worker was telling me that the young lady that stays overnight and cooks raw chicken in the microwave in the break room wasn’t following the rules.

The co-worker handed a piece of paper to the young lady listing the rules and the young lady took the paper and crumbled it up and threw it back at the co-worker and told her she didn’t follow anyone’s rules. I didn’t get the details behind the cause of giving the young lady the rules. LOL!

Then the internet was down company wide, and I was hanging out in my friend’s office catching up with her on the personal end of things and the great vacation week I had. I got a small break to breathe before I was back to “work” the attack. The supervisor came back with the head of the department as we were chatting. He looked at us with the look of why we’re hanging out. I mentioned to him the internet was down, his response, “Well, instead of hanging out here, go hang out at the bar.” It was about 10:30am in the morning. I scoffed at him and responded if he would pay for my Lyft? I really wanted to say something else. He walked away, ignored me and we pretty much broke us up to get back to work. Awkward!

The supervisor looked wasted, more overwhelmed, burnt out. She didn’t look well and was pacing. I immediately thought her meeting didn’t go well with the higher-ups. I’m sure part of their meeting was the request to adjust to raise my pay. (Blogged 7/31//24) She looked spooked. She certainly wouldn’t have liked to be treated how she’s treated me since my arrival.

Investigator #3 came to see the supervisor about his time and about it being okay to certify his time spent on projects. I guess she couldn’t figure it out on her own but does talk a good game at making it seem that she knows it all. I got called and I walked in, and he had his hands in his face, nervous? I explained his time spent on projects was okay and how the time is updated based on the percentage of payroll that is allowed and posted. He was satisfied with the response, and I went to see him at his office later to set up an appointment to go through the process in detail.

I heard later the supervisor wasn’t happy that we met on the Thursday (8/1/24) before I went on vacation because she had scheduled to be off. She didn’t say anything to me, oh well! Doesn’t affect me. All the Best!
