I hope everyone is doing okay. It was a bad day, but for someone else. I gave my best advice on how to communicate with investigators and it came from a perspective of experience and not anything else.
My advice wasn’t taken and still did what she normally does, but her way didn’t work out for her. I gave a detailed explanation of what to add to the email and why. I stepped back because even though I insisted on responding and it was important to me she didn’t realize it isn’t easy to capture to so many details in one email. The investigator didn’t take her email too well and couldn’t discern it. She asked me to take over and I am to start fresh tomorrow. I don’t like to start off on the wrong foot with any investigator.
It takes time, effort, patience, knowledge, and relationship building. I took over and let’s see what happens tomorrow. I had a great evening celebrating my niece’s birthday. All the Best!
