I hope everyone is doing okay. Busy times working on dealing with last weeks news of no budgets and having to find cost savings to deal with the shortfall of year one for 3 programs. The forecast submitted by the lead person, “DD” as I call him was shorted and now we have no funds for the programs. The submitted forecast back on October 2024 determined whether we would need funds moving forward and how soon. Well because the forecast budget was shorted we don’t have funds now because of the error made. I have to request approval to the sponsor to shift funds from another program to support the 3 programs that have unbudgeted funds.

I did research and completed forecasts to be sure that we are able to operate all other programs and was able to find cost savings, luckily. I didn’t have to cut critical services so that’s good. I have to now explain the error to the MD’s. That’s not going to go well. Facing it head-on no other way to explain, but with the truth. Nothing will happen to the person, “DD” who continues to make errors. If it were me, well I’d never hear the end of it until I quit. They are all so quick to point the finger, but when it’s them they go silent and ignore the truth. I will tell the truth and let it play out on its own and notify them all. I’m not even explaining anything in detail, I already know what to do. All the Best!
