I hope everyone is doing okay. I woke up not wanting to commute to work. I had to because I have committed to help an MD’s assistant to put a birthday party together for her boss. He’s really well liked and popular and I agree. I picked up a couple custom cakes for the party. Of course I put on a smile anyway after an awful last couple days. (blog 10/28-29/25)
As the party got underway the “corner” as I call them is make up of the administrator, two lead people, and senior manager that think they know how to run this department. The structure doesn’t work and everyone knows it doesn’t, but ignores it. They keep going on like there are no internal issues. As they enjoy the party I think to myself how they watched me burn taking the heat for their mistakes, and they sat there biting their nails while I worked through a high deficit, to negotiate, fix it, while they kept watch for it to go away. They were silent and now that things are stable and things are moving in the right direction they want to act like nothing happened. They lie and don’t want the information to go public. I am contemplating a rebuttal to HR, but I’m sure nothing will happen. I just want it documented.
I have never had this happen in my career. I did have a couple staff the same occurred to them except that I did document my work and conversations. The couple staff that went through the same situation moved out from under the direct report of the “corner” and wen to work directly for the medical doctors. I’d gladly do it, but my role is much at a higher rank than the two staff. I have a decision to make and will make it soon. All the Best!
