I hope everyone is doing okay. Oh my gosh! I took a beating from the sponsor of our project today. Good thing I kept my mouth shut and didn’t respond to a lot. I just took the punches, but I knew I was right. The sponsor did not accept my report until in front of everyone today. Wow! It was a sign of hers to us that she was upset at such a disaster going on internal for us here. I was not told beforehand my forecast was not approved to clear the deficit.

The big boss had to smooth things out between our MD (LW) and the sponsor finance manager (AA), an argument broke out between the two. My team and I looked like fools and I have never felt like I failed at anything during my career. Incredible experience to watch people argue over money and not consider the good this project does for patients. We have and continue to work hard. 😓 I left the meeting with no resolution and more work to submit and justify our deficit, that our expenses are legitimate, move the expenses to an approved account with restriction, but can justify the reallocation.

Of the thirteen people in the meeting no one spoke up and no one supported us. That says a lot of them. I’ll reserve my comments for future blogs. All the Best!
