Friday reflection – work week 1 – 1/10/2025

I hope everyone is doing okay. I had a pretty good first day. My first day I worked remote doing a 2-hour orientation. I completed some training. I did get lost to find the place to get my badge on day 2 that allows me into all my employers buildings that operate under the same brand, delayed finding parking in one of the country’s major medical centers, and climbing stairs because there was no elevator. My body was soar because it was cold and I was in heels! LOL!

As the week got into gear for me I already sensed I am going to jump into action and quickly. I have to assist in bringing clarity to the pending work, be the direct contact for the investigators, and streamline processes that alleviate delays in executing tasks and reporting.

I began to join meetings and listen in, took a lot of notes, and reading the rules and regulations of each project. It’s a lot of regulation information to take in. I have to provide the proper guidance and find answers. I have ideas and plan to find solutions that meet the needs of the investigators. There’s a lot to do and so little time. The way I present information will be critical because no one knows where we stand at the moment financially and since been transitioned into a new system, we’re all new to it.

Everyone seems to be on board and collaborate to bring our department up to speed one day at a time. Today near the end of the day the transformer blew out and left our building with no power. I went home to rest and reset for the next week which will probably be busier. All the Best!
