I hope everyone is doing okay.
I went into this remote interview a bit nervous because my son is at home today and I needed this interview to go as planned. I had my son sit and watch television for a bit while I was done. It wasn’t going to be but 30 minutes and told him that I had an important appointment for a new job.
Of course, it didn’t go as planned. During the interview my son walked into my home office and said in a low tone that he needed to go to the bathroom and I looked away for a couple seconds and did thumbs up. I think the interviewers noticed and heard it, but we kept going. I know it was obvious! Fortunately my son got the point and left.
I left a note at the back door “Walk in Quietly” so that the hubby would know I was still in the interview. He walked to my door and shut it and it caught my attention and I lost my thoughts after. I cut my response short because I forgot what else I was going to say.
I guess I’m lucky that nothing major happened and I was able to carry my conversation and not crack. The interview was about 20 minutes. I got off the call concerned though because they had to notice the distraction. I did notice a couple of the interviewers smile and I hope it didn’t count against me. All the Best!
