I hope everyone is doing okay. I was having a productive day today. Most of it was spent on cleaning up old files and clearing credit card expense reports for 4 investigators. I get a call from my friend and co-worker to notify me that we are to work until 5pm from now on. What?! The head of the department announced we have to be available to investigators until 5pm.

I normally work through lunch so that I can leave work and be home at a decent time due to the long commute home. What happened to the flexibility? When I work remote, I work longer hours and through lunch. I get more done at home because I do have interruptions at work, and I won’t turn anyone away and keep my door opened when I’m onsite. I guess I have to start writing my resignation letter now because I won’t be able to meet the 5pm schedule. With the current issues with both the supervisor and cat lady I minus well quit now.

Not looking too good. Just because the investigators don’t have little ones at home doesn’t mean I don’t. I wasn’t asked to stay until 5pm before, not sure what happened. All the Best!
