I hope everyone is doing okay. I had a good weekend and been having a pretty good week and busy with family events. I did procrastinate today, but I have been tied up each Wednesday morning with a required research training. It’s not at all training, more of a high-level processes and workflow. It does take up my whole morning and will continue for 10 complete weeks. This is the organizations version of their own research certification.
What threw me off course today was the supervisor who mentioned that she went to the doctor and was worried about her potential medical situation. Without sharing about her condition I can share mine and what my advice was to her.
I had heart palpitations last year and I gave her details of why I had them and advised her to do an MRI. I noticed a sense of a little fear in her face. My heart palpitations were triggered by something else, and I had surgery last year and it might even be serious for her, she shouldn’t worry. Sometimes we can also make ourselves sick when we worry too much, stress, and/or our vitamin levels are low. I was low with my iron levels.
We do have our differences in leadership style and work, but she’s still a woman, mother, and good person to others and if she came to me about it, I would at least try to put her at ease. All the Best!
