I hope everyone is doing okay.

She doesn’t talk to me or share with me, so I have kept my distance from her. I am busy, don’t ask for input, my support comes from outside the department. She doesn’t have a goal or strategy for the team. How are we going to be successful or streamline some internal processes. I don’t see any leadership qualities or skillset. We’re all just working. We work with each other except with her.

After my trip she comes around and wants to be in know now? During our staff meeting we’re supposed to talk about work, an agenda, but we don’t. We zoom to just say nothing really. I only talked about people I met at the conference and I was glad I attended. I think she wanted to hear more on the personal side, but I know better, shared nothing. Nope, no personal details, only basic conference stuff. Then, just like that the meeting ended. My co-worker was majority interested in the conference. She asked questions about it and I answered in detail, no gossip.

She told me during the meeting she would catch up with me later to go over some tasks. Well, 3pm came and we only talked about the conference once again? She really wanted to talk about my personal time because the conference was held in Las Vegas. She had nothing to hand over to me and she spoke to me as if we were buddies. She did apologize for the Sunday mishap with her credit card. Okay, done. No big deal. If she feels left out, that’s on her. I realize her life in general is friction and I’m not going to make her important on here, but I understand the personality. All the Best!
