I hope everyone is doing okay.

Yesterday (6/18/24) I met with the investigator that has the most complex projects and tasks. We’re behind, well really me. A lot of it is clearing outdated tasks. Money is owed and it resurfaced again with one of his projects being overspent so now finding out another chunk is owed. Did I not understand correctly? I wrote notes on it. The analysis doesn’t show the full amount. I think this was missed. This was way before me and pulled from an old system I don’t have access to.

There is nothing I or anyone can do we owe the money and whoever is going to pay for it I just need to know so I can process the transaction and zero out the project.

There is no finger pointing, only he approved the final amount of the cost without pulling a financial transaction of expenses. I explained there is no blame. Then, two additional projects were shared cost, and I was able to find the funds. Thirdly, I was able to execute the extra pay owed for one and half months. Not bad, but it was a dodged bullet. It was a productive meeting, and I explained my work in detail. We got on an important call together to a sponsor on updates for a collaborative project. We ended our meeting in an upbeat mood.
