I hope everyone is doing okay. I haven’t been able to be as productive as I usually am. I feel as if I need to take a break, but without taking a day off.
It’s nice to have co-workers that are also your friends to chat it up with too. I don’t really rely on social media and it’s not as great as actually being “present.” I commute to work, and I look forward to talking to the couple people. I had lunch with my friend of 12 years. We still talk about so many things, our loyalty, the current state of our organization and the latest gossip. Someone sent an email to a group of people including donors that listed how much the top people in the organization get paid and how the hires are friends. I guess someone is really mad at the executive offices. Each day there’s so much that goes on, but I’ll write about the funny and idiotic events that happened today.
Today was no different as I tried to explain a new research topic and it’s as if the person’s top of head was going to blow up. Later, the head of the department scolded me because I was talking out loud in the hallway talking about flushing toilets. It doesn’t help that I’m on a zoom call and they can hear the toilet flush next door. They should also shut the door all the way, not be too lazy and leave it open. LOL! It was a slow working day.
