I hope everyone is doing okay. I had to watch my words today or I would’ve either lost my job or quit.
There is no courtesy from people and have an attitude of, “it’s not my problem.” I also had to get frustrated to get support from the only person who has the pull to make things happen.
I was working on the new project that was handed to me (4/26/24 blog) Friday. I noticed that one of the completed packets was declined. Without my knowledge or notice to anyone, one of the forms was updated and I didn’t use it as part of the packet. I called the supervisor over and explained what occurred. The response I got was, “I can re-do the form.” This was not my dilemma. I had to explain the same thing twice because she was adamant she could re-do the outdated form. I got loud with her and said once again, “It’s not the work or completing the form, call them and ask them not to reject my packets going through the adobe workflow!” If these are deleted it’s only wasting the investigator’s time and they won’t understand why they are having to sign the packets again. She immediately asked for me to call myself and there was no answer. You would think she would’ve figured out that I had already attempted to call if I had gotten a response I wouldn’t need her! She immediately walked back to her desk, flustered. I got a message within 4-5 minutes that the packets wouldn’t be rejected and for me to complete the outdated form and the reviewer would upload the new form on their end. Duh! That’s what I already explained 4 times?
I’ll never understand why listening is not important, but some are ready to immediately respond. All the Best!
