I hope everyone is doing okay.

I presented financials today for the head of our department, the big boss man. He was pretty good and understood my presentation with not much to ask. All eyes were on me to be at my best. He’s got a lot of work and I give myself a B+ because I did have help from the supervisor, but that’s because I didn’t have the latest information from one day ago that never got to me.

I did have an idea after to create a checklist of what each investigator is looking for because they are all different and are interested from the minor details to high overview. This will support me at what I need to review and be at my best, a tip sheet of survival. He was very pleasant and easy to talk to, good experience there.

Some that were supposed to be present didn’t show – must’ve thought I was going to blunder or not completed the many tasks necessary for today’s presentation. They did though ask how the meeting went and immediately answered their phone to get the scoop on me, LOL!

I did have a second presentation later in the morning and I nailed that one. The investigator helped with providing new information. I pretty much have to take the lead and be sure the tasks are complete and am responsible for the movement and financial overview of budget and balance/s. I appreciate her giving us information to stay ahead of action, not reaction. She was good at information sharing and clear. All the Best!
