I hope everyone is doing okay. As I was writing my entry for today I was laughing because the young guy I was talking to is very opinionated.

Everyone likes gossip whether good or bad. Today was that day for me. I took it as clarity, but you also have to be careful because you can be swept in it quick once you have an opinion about someone or you choose to become part of that circle. It dims my light and people’s perspective of one changes as I have experienced in the past. The person knows everyone as he provides a variety of technology services to everyone and knows a lot of people inside and out of the department. He gave me his opinion and details that I did agree with mostly based on my interaction with particular people.

One, there are two top investigators that he doesn’t like because they are mean, send him ugly emails and complain a lot. Two, two ladies that I should work with directly, but not sure why they choose not to talk to me, don’t have the knowledge to do the job and are considering jumping ship as he heard it through the grapevine. Three, my supervisor has a mean streak to her and that was nothing new to me. LOL!

He expressed his partner works in the department and he seemed worried she might not catch on. I told him to let her know I can relate when I initially started in this industry I was horrified because I was thrown in the job and pretty much was on my own. I offered my support. I had one lady that was amazing and trained me. I am grateful to her to this day for taking a chance on me and I will gladly pay it forward. I give credit where credit is due.

I took things with a grain of salt, but happy to at least interact with someone face-to-face for at least a couple hours. All the Best!
