I hope everyone is doing okay. In my blog from 7/5/23 I wrote about accountability. It came at the right time because I have been told that nothing is structured, yikes!
I opened my email today from the big boss man dated 8/18/23. I began to read the body in the email and surprisingly addressing accountability sharing in the form of a story. He also attached an example from someone with power that began to address the topic. The attached document chronicled coming together as a team and putting together a template streamlining processes document best practices. The team agreed this is their working, master document to follow. I felt as if someone was finally saying what I was thinking and feeling, the work struggles, doubts and frustration. The team was the voice that I did not have because of my position and being fairly new. The work and conversation came from people with rank to make the change – not a newcomer. They addressed everything that I have attempted to talk about in passing of course. My supervisor has acknowledged, but shut down of my ideas.
I know now that I am on the right track of structuring myself despite my supervisor stating that there’s so much going on it’s nearly impossible. I can keep my brain from being scattered and lost. A list of best practices would be beneficial as well for us and I’m keeping one too without their knowledge. All the Best!
