Hello, I hope all is okay with everyone.

Today was going quiet, busy, but I have to write how today’s presentation from the co-worker went. After attempting to trigger and focus on me it was her turn to perform and show what she has been doing all this time. This time the spotlight was on her.

The co-worker wasn’t able to present successfully, she’s confused, doesn’t understand any aspect to analyze, research and applied incorrect information to project budgets. She doesn’t understand the diverse project portfolio which one makes money and which ones are research. I attempted to continue to support her and to explain how each one is different and how to update each project. The final topic she was discussing was forecasting payroll on an employee and the supervisor was not happy. The supervisor held back, attempting to not show any emotion. The co-worker changed an official document and was asked to upload the original copy. The supervisor attempted to explain payroll and it was not getting anywhere. Once again, I attempted to explain payroll in other terms because I was able to see she was confused. Despite our attempts I saw her roll her eyes as if she didn’t need to know and acknowledged she had it down. Her emotions got the best of her, and I could see she shut down. I don’t expect to hear from her at all. It left me only twenty minutes to present of two hours.

Instead of acknowledging, rising up and swallowing her pride and accept the help she prefers to find fault at the training she’s received. Attitude is everything, if you’re going to apply negative emotions when someone is attempting to help, and you respond with an attitude it blocks you from really learning. All the Best!
