Friday Reflection – Word of Advice – 6/23/23 & 6/26/23

Hello, I hope everyone is doing okay.

My co-worker calls me to make fun of me right away. I did a “test” presentation on Wednesday, 6/21/23 for the first time so that my boss could critique me. This test was to prepare me to begin communicating with investigators on only the financial topics that matter to them.

I had a rough week including some news regarding the upcoming surgery, a bad storm that knocked power out. We had to throw a lot of food that spoiled out and the many challenges with internet going in and out. I couldn’t concentrate on work. She held on for two days just to call me today and make fun of me about sounding like a robot repeating myself on Wednesday. Really?! It was very inappropriate especially coming from someone who can’t even understand a project number.

On Monday, 6/26/23 she calls me again to help her understand how burn rate is calculated. Despite your immature character I still helped and provided advice on how to calculate the financial burn rate. My time is valuable, so I kept it quick. I am busy and I am going to put myself first. If I have time for you, I will assist, but not to put me behind. All the resources you need are available, but refuses to do her due diligence, think about it – don’t expect that you are going to reach your hand out and be given one because you don’t want to burden yourself doing your due diligence. You disagree with the boss because you don’t listen, you think you are right, but you’re not. I give you advice on days you’re frustrated, but you’re stubborn. My good nature is taken for granted.

I endured a lot to hold the knowledge I have and it’s time for you to begin searching for the same knowledge. I would get going. “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.” All the Best!
